La Expo Na'Lu'um, retratos de la Madre Tierra, CICY Mérida, Yucatán - México

I took a part of the group exhibition on the occasion of Mother Earth Day "La Expo Na'Lu'um, retratos de la Madre Tierra", located in the Roger Orellana Regional Botanical Garden of CICY - Centro de Investigación Científica de Yucatán in Mérida, Yucatán, México

"The Dream of the Earth" (Dedicated to my aunt Inka)
Mixed media, Year: 2015, Format: 56 x 35 cm
All my life I've loved nature which always has been my inspiration. Every day I enjoy observing the environment of my life and art objects which the nature created. These objects enrich my imagination and I'm collecting them for my project. They contain a visual and spiritual aspects. In my imagination they are projecting my feelings .
One day on my way I found leaves that looked like small trees and there appeared an idea. The trees leave their marks. Static leaves are like the symbol of death, flying gently seeds symbolize new life. It's the circle of the life.
During my work my aunt died and I realized how symbolic is the picture, therefore I dedicated the picture to her.

In Mexico

Since 2011 I’ve been living in Mérida, Yucatán, México with my husband, studying Spanish and working on my own projects.
I like to paint or draw in plener and as a person, who is from country without sea, the places as a beach, sea and boats are fascinating me.
